about Pathanamthitta District Rifle Association
The Pathanamthitta District Rifle Association is affiliated to the Kerala State Rifle Association which is in turn affiliated to The National Rifle Association of India. We are the one and only official shooting association of the district affiliated to carry on shooting sports in and along the district of Pathanamthitta.The Pathanamthitta District Rifle Club, which is a unit of Pathanamthitta District Rifle Association is planning to construct a permanent shooting range in Pathanamthitta
VISION & MISSION
The aim is to bring shooting sportspersons from the district to national as well as international Shooting Championships, Olympics as well as World Competitions. The mission is to develop a team of well trained shooters irrespective of their gender to represent Pathanamthitta in shooting and bring glory to it.
winning history
12 shooters from Pathanamthitta have qualified for the first Kerala state Olympics 2022 with remarkable scores. Among them includes Four pistol shooters, Five .177 Peep sight air rifle shooters and Three .177 open sight air rifle shooters. It includes two female shooters in both pistol and rifle category each.
Our history
PDRA was founded in 2020 with a view to promote and popularize the shooting sports in the district of Pathanamthitta. The district was devoid of an official shooting association despite having more than a dozen achieved shooters as permanent residents of the district.
Governing Body
Ex-Officio President is The District Collector, the District Police commissioner holds the Senior Vice-President post and the Additional District Magistrate holds the charge of vice-president of the association.
